I can't for the life of me figure out why Blogger won't let me upload pictures from this thing, so ended up emailing the blog candy pic to blogger for this post. Now let's see if it worked. Restocking the Eco Chique Boutique Shelves!

Yesterday after doing my Saturday morning errands (LOVE our local Farmers' Market!) I spent some time taking pictures of all my upcycled drink can brooches and restocking my Etsy shop's virtual shelves. After church today I'll take pics of badge reels and if time permits will get some of my oodles and oodles of upcycled paper embellishments posted. I kind of got carried away making all those die cuts out of assorted food and tissue boxes, wallpaper samples and security envelopes. Here's a few of the new brooches just listed in Eco Chique Boutique.

Blog Candy for Gratitude! -- CLOSED

If you've been reading my blog you know that in one week's time I was the recipient of four blog prizes. This past week has been an all time high for me, making me feel almost guilty, but mostly grateful and appreciative of the generosity of others. The best way for me to show my gratitude is by paying it forward, so ..... drum roll please.... I've got blog candy!!! Yup, I put together a package of ephemera, vintage ribbon, buttons, vintage wallpaper, handmade embellishments, twine, silk flowers and other fun things that would be great for making mini albums, embellishing scrapbook pages and cards or anything else your imagination desires. This blog candy will run until October 29 with the winner announced on October 30. To be eligible all you need to do is the following:

Challenging challenge card

I came home from work totally exhausted AGAIN yesterday and made this card for the Latte Lounge Beach Party challenge. Even though it's certainly not my best work it was a fun challenge.  You should hop over there just to see the amazing cards and tags made by the other talented artists! Oh btw... that is supposed to be embossed clouds, not blue dust flying through the sky. The basket, ice cream cone and castle are all brand new, not-yet-released digis from Fresh Brewed Designs.  I'm determined to try this again after running errands this morning with DH and DD. The riding mower broke AGAIN, so we're replacing it with a new one, then WATCH OUT GRASS cuz this old gal is ON A MISSION!!! lol! Hmm, wonder if there's a stamp for that one? I've seen the fluffy gal on a bicycle, but haven't seen her on a riding mower yet (hint, hint to all you designers out there!). If anyone has seen a stamp or digi like that please send me the link. Pot decorations for fundraiser at work

On Friday we're putting on a fundraiser at work called Spring Fling and will be selling, among other things, gift baskets. One of the themed baskets is gardening, so I immediately thought of that Cricut cartridge that came with my machine called Walk in my Garden. Here are some of the picks I made to stick in the basket and some of the plants we'll be selling. I think they're the cutest things and might just have to make some for around my house! I love how the faux stitching looks, especially the blanket stitch on that purple butterfly! I used bamboo skewers for the sticks and glued them with Diamond Glaze. What fun!
